Non-ablative blepharoplasty is a non-surgical aesthetic treatment designed to improve eyelid skin laxity and fine lines around the eyes without the use of a scalpel. Performed as an outpatient procedure, it involves applying a topical anaesthetic cream and then treating excess eyelid skin with a series of tiny spots that cause controlled sublimation of epidermal cells. This leads to tightening of redundant skin and increased thickness and firmness of the treated tissue, with shorter downtime compared to traditional surgical blepharoplasty.
It is suitable for mild to moderate skin excess, “heavy” upper lids and periocular wrinkles in patients seeking a fresher, more open look without surgery. Typically, 1–3 sessions spaced over time are required, depending on eyelid laxity and individual response. In the days following treatment, small crusts and mild periocular swelling may appear and resolve spontaneously with appropriate topical care and strict sun protection.
