Lifting threads are resorbable PDO or polylactic acid threads inserted into the subcutaneous tissue to support the tissues and stimulate new collagen production. They act with a dual effect: mechanical support of a sagging facial contour and intense biostimulation, leading over time to firmer, more compact and more radiant skin.
During the treatment, the threads are placed using needles or micro-cannulas according to a personalised pattern (face, jawline, neck and, in some cases, body areas), achieving a subtle immediate “lifting effect” and a progressive improvement as the material is resorbed and a new collagen scaffold forms.
The threads are inserted into the subcutaneous tissue with fine needles or micro-cannulas, following a predefined design based on the area to be treated (face, jawline, neck, sometimes body).
They provide a double action:
- intense biostimulation of the tissues, with a toning effect and improved skin radiance
- mechanical support to lax cutaneous and connective structures, thanks to gentle traction that helps redefine facial contours
It is a non-surgical, outpatient treatment that does not require any special preparation.
