Plexr is a plasma soft-surgery device that generates a micro-electric arc, causing controlled sublimation of the most superficial skin layer without cutting or stitches. It is best known as a non-surgical alternative to blepharoplasty for heavy upper eyelids, but can also be used for periocular fine lines, localised skin laxity and selected superficial benign lesions.
The plasma micro-arc acts point by point on the skin surface, sublimating superficial cells and producing a gentle “tightening” effect on the treated area while stimulating the surrounding tissue. After treatment, small pinpoint crusts form and fall off spontaneously within about 7–10 days, provided that post-care instructions are followed (no sun exposure, no rubbing, strict photoprotection). The procedure is preferably performed in the autumn–winter months.
Plexr is considered in cases of mild to moderate eyelid skin excess, “crow’s feet” and lower eyelid fine lines, localised laxity in difficult-to-treat areas and some superficial benign lesions that benefit from pinpoint sublimation.
