High-frequency skin and subcutaneous ultrasound

Skin and subcutaneous ultrasound is a non-invasive examination using a high-frequency probe to visualise in real time the skin, subcutaneous tissue and lesions such as cysts, lipomas, nodules and granulomas. It helps distinguish solid, cystic or mixed lesions, define their size, depth and relationship with nearby structures such as fascia, muscles and vessels, with no radiation exposure and excellent repeatability over time.

Therapeutic perspectives

At MAVIT, skin ultrasound is a key diagnostic tool in dermatologic surgery, used before lesion removal to plan safer, more conservative procedures, and in aesthetic medicine to locate fillers or other injected materials, detect nodules, granulomas or product accumulations and guide targeted corrective treatments. The aim is to enhance diagnostic accuracy and safety, enabling more precise and less invasive interventions.
