Localised fat deposits: non-surgical body contouring

Localised fat deposits are accumulations of subcutaneous fat in specific areas – such as abdomen, hips, saddlebags, inner thighs, knees and arms – that often persist despite healthy diet and regular exercise. They are usually related to constitutional factors, hormones, pregnancy or weight fluctuations. They do not necessarily indicate obesity, but they can affect body volumes and the overall balance of the silhouette.

Treatment options

At MAVIT, after a clinical evaluation and body composition assessment, the treatment plan may include:
•    nutritional counselling, when appropriate, to optimise overall weight;
•    non-surgical body contouring treatments (for example cryolipolysis or other non-invasive fat-reduction technologies, depending on the clinic’s equipment);
•    combined programmes to also improve skin tone and overall body profile.
The goal is to selectively reduce localised fat, while preserving body proportions and achieving a natural, harmonious appearance.
