Microdermabrasion is a deep-cleansing and controlled mechanical peeling treatment of the epidermis, performed on both face and body. Using sterile microcrystals (or diamond tips), it selectively removes the outermost layers of the stratum corneum, clears away dull, damaged cells and stimulates cell turnover.
The skin becomes smoother, brighter and more receptive to skincare products and subsequent medical-aesthetic treatments. A special handpiece delivers the microcrystals while applying controlled suction, providing even exfoliation without harming deeper structures. Mild, temporary redness may occur after treatment and usually resolves quickly.
Microdermabrasion is indicated for superficial pigment changes (including mild melasma), acne marks and enlarged pores, photoaging and fine lines, as well as for dull, thickened or blemish-prone skin with closed comedones. It can also support selected protocols for stretch marks and superficial scars. It suits most skin types and can be performed in many seasons, adjusting intensity and frequency, always combined with appropriate sun protection.
